Uber and Lyft are our primary income to provide for our families. These are not “gig” jobs. For many of us, these are full-time jobs that we can count on to survive. Right now, thousands of Massachusetts rideshare and delivery drivers struggle to survive, especially since car expenses have exploded. After paying for gas, vehicle wear and tear, and other expenses out of pocket, there is not much left over.
We are standing together to: improve our pay per mile, stop the risk to our rating when we decide not to take rides, keep our flexibility, and have the freedom to negotiate to improve our working conditions. Every day that we go to work, we are at risk of losing our livelihood at the click of a button.
